Prosthodontics is the department which aims at improving the oral health status of geriatric patient by providing dentures thereby increasing the chewing efficiency and self-confidence leading to improved quality of life. Our vision follows – perpetual preservation of what remains is at most important than meticulous replacement of what has been lost.

Graduated in dentistry from the Faculty of Dentistry, Annamalai University, Chidambaram in 1988 receiving the ‘Best-outgoing student – Gold Medal & completed his Master Degree in the speciality of Prosthodontics from R.Ahmed Dental College, Kolkata in 1993. Received the “Diplomate in Oral Implantology” from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), New York, in 2003, one of the first dentists from India to achieve this at that time. Completed the Fellowship & Mastership in TMD, Oro-facial pain & Dental sleep medicine (Roseman University, USA) and is now a ‘Diplomate of American Board of Orofacial Pain’ in 2023, one of the very few such specialists in the country. Received the ‘Distinguished Aluminus’ award from Annamalai University in 2022. He has been a Member of Dental Council of India. Past Secretary cum Treasurer, Indian Prosthodontic Society, from 2006 – 2018. Past President – Indian Dental Association, Madras Branch. He is currently:

Has authored the popular ‘Textbook of Prosthodontics’ published by Elsevier, along with Dr.T.V. Padmanabhan. Has been in private practice since 1993 & runs a multispecialty dental center in Chennai called ‘the iDentity’. Is an invited speaker on Prosthodontics, Implantology and TMD; Orofacial Pain at various National & International dental conventions.
