The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology runs undergraduate program that focuses on the diagnosis and management of complex diagnostic and medical disorders affecting the mouth and jaws. The department of Oral Medicine was established in 2007 and headed by Dr. Chandra Mouli. Clinicians with advanced training in this discipline manage oral mucosal disease, salivary gland disorders, facial pain syndromes and also provide dental care for patients with complicating medical disease. The department also trains the students in imaging of craniofacial structures which includes intra oral and extra oral imaging techniques using both conventional and digital equipments.

Dr. P. E.Chandra Mouli has 15 years of teaching experience. He has more than 25 publications with a DCI credit points of over 150 which includes publications in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science and UGC Care.

Completed Post Graduate Diploma in Criminology & Forensic Science in Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. Completed Diploma in Acupuncture, B.Sc in Accupuncture in Tamil University, Thanjavur. Completed Foundation Certificate Course in Forensic Odontology in April 2023.
