Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VELS University) has successfully marched into the sixth year since it was declared as Deemed to be University in 2008. Vels University enjoys a respectable position as a seat of learning and research amongst the reputed universities in India. It is indeed a matter of great satisfaction for me to note that significant improvements have been made in the sphere of imparting higher education at the University.

Sri Venkateswara Dental College & Hospital, a unit of Vels Group of Institutions was started in the year 2007 with the main objective to produce high quality dental surgeons and provide quality dental treatment to the rural population. Sri Venkateswara Dental College and Hospital offers the best and the right educational environment in dental medicine, producing professionals who possess the capacity and ability to deal with an ever-increasing knowledge base and rapid technological changes. Innovative research facilities and teaching methodologies have been introduced which will greatly help to create an atmosphere essential for acquiring a high academic standard.

I am happy to know that college has produced University ranks and our Alumni are employed in many leading corporate hospitals for their sound knowledge and training received at our college.
